🐾 Recently, our Health Science Clinical students had the exciting opportunity to tour Family Pet Hospital in Batesville! 🐶🐱 Drs. Justin and Leigh Taylor Unruh, along with their amazing staff, gave us an inside look at the world of veterinary care. 🩺
Our students learned about the "4-legged" patients that come through the clinic and had the chance to observe procedures like blood being drawn from a dog, a cat being neutered, a dog being spayed, and even a dog getting his teeth cleaned! 🐾✨
It was an informative and fun experience, and we’re so grateful for the opportunity to see veterinary medicine in action! 🐾❤️

Tiger teams are on the road tonight as we take on Olive Branch! Come on out and pack the stands in Red and Blue! Go Tigers!

Mrs. Hamilton’s students tested their predictions on the pH of household items using a red cabbage indicator. They observed the color changes of each item and compared the results to their prediction. The class discussion revealed that the most surprising pH was bleach—a strong base, not an acid!

Soccer Senior Night vs. Olive Branch. Congrats Seniors!

SPHS FFA members along with BJH and Pope members had a fantastic experience at the NEMCC Livestock Judging Clinic on December 6 in Booneville.
The day featured engaging speakers, including livestock judges and the President of Northeast Mississippi Community College, who shared valuable insights and his own personal experience in the agricultural industry.
Students also had the chance to judge classes of cattle, hogs, lambs, and goats, gaining hands-on experience that they thoroughly enjoyed. This was a great opportunity to build skills and confidence in livestock evaluation.

Today, they received their well-deserved gifts for completing the entire Diversified Ag program, which includes: Principles of Agriscience, Diversified Agriculture Animal Core, Diversified Agriculture Mechanics Core, and the final Capstone course.
These students have been working hard since their freshman year, completing over 100 hours of hands-on work, with 35 hours dedicated to the Capstone course alone. Their efforts have made a significant impact on many projects within our Agriculture department at South Panola High School. 🌱🔧🐄
Please join us in congratulating:
Robert "Peyton" Funderburk
Kendria "Dria" Lee
Jaxon Porter
We’re incredibly proud of all their hard work and dedication!

This Tuesday, our Advanced Manufacturing students took an exciting tour of Insituform, where they learned how the company manufactures thousands of feet of cloth used to repair underground broken pipes, ranging from 6 to 100 inches in diameter! Insituform’s innovative solutions are used in large cities across the globe, making a huge impact on infrastructure repair
It was an amazing learning experience for our students to see real-world applications of manufacturing technology in action!

In the final 2 weeks of this fall semester, our Principles of Agriscience class had an exciting hands-on project! Students learned key welding safety skills and used a MIG welder to create stunning metal roses from raw materials.
They carefully bent metal washers and cut rods to shape, welding each washer as a petal to form a beautiful flower. After completing the welding, students added their personal touch by painting the flowers in the colors of their choice.
These unique, handcrafted metal flowers were then taken home as a symbol of their hard work and creativity!

Congratulations to Meredith Cossey for being named the December Rotary Student of the Month! Meredith has chosen to honor Ms. Annah Bailey .

Using their 3-D printing skills, students in Computer Science and Engineering completed a semester exam by selecting an adult at the high school and designing a thoughtful Christmas ornament. We delivered the ornaments personally to the selected adults this week.
Some of these students were exempt and were not required to complete the exam but chose to participate.

Students in the Career Technical Education classes of Computer Science and Engineering completed their last unit on Robotics. They were challenged to design a Robotic Insect to withstand a set of harsh environmental elements. As you can see, they rose to the challenge and created phenomenal Robotic Insects!

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the South Panola Bass Fishing Team for their thoughtful gesture of providing coffee for all the SPHS teachers today! Your kindness and support mean so much to us. The delicious brews from Honeybee Coffee definitely gave us the boost we needed to get through the day! ☕💛

A big thank you to Dr. Bright and the entire staff for giving Mrs. Shultice and Ms. Payne's Health Science Clinical students the opportunity to explore the various roles, diagnostic equipment, and treatments used in an optometry clinic! Your knowledge and support are greatly appreciated!
