🚗💡 Last Friday, our Advanced Manufacturing 2nd Year students had an incredible opportunity to tour Toyoda-Gosei! 🌟 They learned about the cutting-edge technology behind the injection molding machines used to manufacture high-quality plastic parts for Toyota, Honda, and other automotive giants. 🔧💥
The tour also featured exciting problem-solving activities that sparked curiosity and creativity. 🔍🤔 Students had a blast and many are now seriously considering a career with Toyoda-Gosei! 🚀

Mrs. White's Culinary Arts II students embarked on a hands-on shopping experience to purchase the ingredients needed for their pre-planned menu. Each group crafted a detailed shopping list while practicing essential skills like budgeting, comparing prices, and making informed decisions about quality and quantity. This grocery trip helps our students create efficient, cost-effective choices while maintaining the standards of their creations. Our students' experience served as an introduction to real-world food procurement, emphasizing the importance of organization, time management, and financial planning in a professional kitchen. Students were encouraged to think critically about ingredient substitutions, portion sizes, and waste reduction, ensuring their purchases aligned with their menu goals. We are excited to watch them bring their visions to life.

Tiger Fans, this Friday night our SPHS Lady Tiger Basketball team will take on Callaway High School in the quarterfinal round of the MHSAA Playoffs at Mississippi Valley State University. Due to a conflict, South Panola School District Cheerleading tryouts have been moved to Monday, February 24, Tuesday, February 25, and Wednesday, February 26. If you make the cheerleading team, there will be a mandatory parent meeting on Thursday, February 27.

🚗 Automotive Service Students Tour Cannon Motors of Oxford! 🚗
Our talented Automotive Service students had an incredible opportunity to visit Cannon Motors of Oxford! During the tour, they explored cutting-edge automotive technology, learned from industry professionals, and discovered the exciting world of car service and repair.
We are also excited to share that some students will have the chance to join their internship program, gaining valuable hands-on experience to kickstart their careers in the automotive industry! 🔧🔩
South Panola AFJROTC defeats Seaford NJROTC
Shooting their highest score of the season South Panola AFJROTC defeated Seaford NJROTC 976.9 to 785.5 in the 2025 National Air Rifle New Shooter League. Their second win in a row. South Panola AFJROTC was led by Harmony Leavy who shot a 260.6. The remaining contributing members were Tavis Smith, William Ford, and Charles Beard. They are from Batesville, MS, and are coached by Mr. Jordan Bailey and Lt.Col. Leonard Boothe.
Overall South Panola AFJROTC is ranked twenty-fourth. They have a 2 - 0 record.
Pat Neal from the Mississippi State Extension Service shared some eye-opening tips during our Health Science Clinical class about the importance of reading food labels and understanding sugar content in our diets.
Too much sugar can sneak into our meals without us even realizing it! Pat emphasized how crucial it is to be aware of the sugar we consume and how reading nutrition labels is the key to making healthier choices.
