The SP District Spelling Bee was held December 17th at BJH. Terriah McNutt, a fifth grader from BMS placed first, Brennan Moulding, a fifth grader from BMS placed second, and Karleigh Tutor, an eighth grader from Pope School placed third. All three students will move on to the Mississippi Spelling Bee semi-finals held in February!
There will be an archery meeting at 3:30 on Wednesday, December 11th in room 226 at the high school for all students 7-12th in the district that are interested in participating in archery this season.
Warren Central High School will be the host site for Friday's (November 22, 2024) playoff football game vs. South Panola High School. Please see the GoFan link below. Tickets will only be available for purchase through GoFan (reserved seating is only available on the home side). Cash will not be accepted at the entrance gates. Also, our new "Clear Bag Policy" will be enforced at all middle school and high school athletic events within the Vicksburg Warren School District for the 2024-2025 school year (policy attached). On November 15th, SPHS would like to honor the 2010 National Champion Football team and coaches. During halftime we would like to honor this storied team during the first round of playoffs. All members of this team may enter the Home Ticket booth free of charge. At 5 minutes left in the 2nd quarter please come to the North Home Concession area to meet Coach Higdon for the halftime field entrance. We look forward to having this great team back at Tiger Stadium.

The SPHS and Batesville Junior High Choirs had a competition this weekend. All 5 high school groups (Cantabile, Bellessima, Coro Machile, Armonia, and Bella Voce) as well as the junior high choir (Corabella) earned superior ratings, bringing home six total trophies! Congratulations!
